Introduction
Glowforge is a 3D laser printer that allows you to easily create products from home. The company has been growing rapidly and plans to increase prices on its products in the near future.
The company has not yet announced when the price increase will take place, but it is likely that it will happen in the next few months. Glowforge is currently running a promotion where you can get $100 off your purchase, so if you are thinking about buying a Glowforge, now is the time to do it.
The price increase has not been finalized, but it is expected that the basic model will go up by $500 and the Pro model will go up by $1000. These are significant price increases, but Glowforge is still cheaper than other 3D printers on the market.

The current state of the Glowforge
Glowforge is currently taking pre-orders for their desktop 3D laser printer. The Glowforge Basic is priced at $1,995 and the Glowforge Plus is priced at $2,995. They are scheduled to begin shipping in the Fall of 2016.
It is unknown if or when the prices will increase after the initial launch. The price could stay the same, increase a little bit, or potentially double.
If you are interested in getting a Glowforge, it is recommended that you pre-order now to lock in the current price.
The Glowforge Pro
The Glowforge Pro is the middle model in the line-up. It has a cutting area of half a square foot, and can engrave items up to two inches thick. The camera is twice as good as on the Basic model, making it easier to precisely place your engraves.
It also comes with an air filter and exhaust fan, which means you can use it without opening a window. And, if you do need to engrave something really huge, you can daisy-chain multiple Pro machines together to get up to four feet of cutting area.
The Glowforge Plus
The Glowforge Plus is our classic laser cutter, packed with upgraded features to make precision cutting and engraving easier than ever. If you order today, your Glowforge will ship in 4-6 weeks. The current price of the Glowforge Plus is $2499.
The price of the Glowforge Plus will increase to $2999 on June 1st, 2019.
The Glowforge Basic
The current price for the Glowforge Basic is $2495, and the Plus is $3495. We do not have plans to increase prices on the Basic or Plus in the near future.
The Glowforge Air Filter
The Glowforge Air Filter is a necessity for anyone using their Glowforge, as it significantly reduces noise and protects your lungs from fine particles created when engraving or cutting. The filter also keeps your work area free of debris, and because it’s HEPA rated, it will capture 99.97% of particles 0.3 microns and larger.
